Meredith, the Birthday Girl, is laughing at boyfriend Micah who is making a squinchy face while wearing the Birthday Sombrero. A few minutes earlier, Meredith was MORTALLY embarrassed by her father and uncle, who had informed our waiter that it was her birthday. They came to the table, plopped the enormous sombrero on her head, handed her some maracas and sang to her as she, alternately, ducked and covered her face with her hands or laughed hysterically. As soon as they left, after presenting her with some flan, the hat was OFF of her head and onto HIS. Where it stayed for the rest of the meal 
She’s 20 years old now. Yes, I DO feel old…
